Welcome to Negril: Capital of Casual, as the sign says; dubbed a Jam - Iconic Experience. This controversial sign was erected on Friday, September 9, 2022 by the Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett along with a few other delegates.

This sign was sponsored by the Tourism Product Development Company Ltd (TPDCo) and construction by C.J. Construction. This sign was erected to welcome travellers to the Resort town of Negril, Jamaica. Persons entering Negril from Hanover parish, will be greeted with this colourful sign.

It is on the tongues of many Jamaicans that the sign is overpriced and the materials used are cheap and not of good quality. We had to visit to see what all the excitement was about.
