⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ Retired R32s being Transferred from 207 Yard to 38th Street Yard in Preparation for Scrapping

Here we see the first four R32s that are slated to be taken off of MTA property and scrapped being transferred by diesels from 207th St Yard to 38th St Yard. These four cars, 3878/9 and 3928/9 were out of service for a while. 3878/9 had been partially stripped for several years and had become de-facto parts donor cars. Very soon, these cars will be conveyed from 38th St Yard to the South Brooklyn Railway, where they will be shipped out for scrap. Enjoy this rare view of the end of an NYC Subway car's life!
