Here we see the first four R32s that are slated to be taken off of MTA property and scrapped being transferred by NYNJ Rail from the South Brooklyn Railway 2nd Avenue Yard to NYNJ Rail's 65th Street Yard. NYNJ rail operates street-running trackage over 1st Avenue in South Brooklyn. Once they arrive at 65th Street Yard, they'll be transloaded to flatcars and brought out of the city to Ohio for scrapping.

These four cars, 3878/9 and 3928/9 were out of service for a while. 3878/9 had been partially stripped for several years and had become de-facto parts donor cars. Enjoy this rare view of the end of an NYC Subway car's life!
