Timing Belt Replacement on my 2.0 Ford Pinto Engine. With most engines these days being 'interference' engines - meaning that should your timing belt break, internal damage will occur - neglecting to service this belt could result in a damaged engine and costly repair bill. With this in mind, lets take a look at the role of a timing belt, and how to replace it. It's not as hard as you'd think.
