Post emergence Herbicides for Maize (Part-03) | Three safest herbicides for Corn | Crop Reformer

Описание к видео Post emergence Herbicides for Maize (Part-03) | Three safest herbicides for Corn | Crop Reformer

Herbicides are playing the most important and pivotal role in weed management in maize crop. In the previous video, we have guided about the use of mesotrione plus atrazine plus halosulfuron herbicides. This formulation is more perfect and broad spectrum. However, there is a weakness in this formulation too. That is in some cases this may show a hidden type of phytotoxic effect.
In this video we have introduced the safest post emergence herbicides viz. Atrazine alone and Clio Combo- Swat agro (atrazine plus topramezone). These herbicides have very high degree of selectivity. These are absorbed by maize crop too but maize crop makes comparmentation of atrazine in its cell vacuole at cellular level. Technically this phenomenon is termed as physiological selectivity. Topramezone is more harsh type of photo bleaching herbicides for the control of hard to kill weeds like Cynodon dactylon (Khabble). Weedicides discussed in this video are unable to kill Cyperus rotundus (Mork or Deela).
