Boston Harbor: 50 Years of Transformation

Описание к видео Boston Harbor: 50 Years of Transformation

In 1969, Larry Rosenblum and Derek Lamb gathered helicopter footage to document and shed light on the state of Boston Harbor. Polluted waters and crumbling infrastructure painted a stark picture of a neglected and underused harbor and islands.

50 years later, Boston Harbor Now traced the same path above Boston Harbor, revealing what is now a vital public resource with clean waters, a vibrant maritime economy, and a restored Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park.

This transformation would not have been possible without the help of many advocates, public agencies and non-profit organizations who worked together to create the harbor we see today. Join Boston Harbor Now in celebrating all that has been accomplished in the last 50 years – and in imagining the potential the next half-century could hold.
