Summer's version featured Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Dionne Warwick, Kenny Loggins, Brenda Russell, James Ingram, Eric Clapton on guitar and more. The song 'State Of Independence' is a highlight of the Jones' produced album entitled 'Donna Summer'.
