In this short video, Matt shows you how to clean the printhead of the Canon PG-510, CL-511, PG-512 or CL-513 ink cartridges, using the Pixma MP495 series. This is essential knowledge for resolving almost any print quality issue with your printer, from missing colours to striped prints, we recommend doing this first. Cleaning in this way does use up black, cyan, magenta and yellow ink within your installed PG-510, CL-511, PG-512 or CL-513 ink cartridges, so be sure to use this function of your Canon Pixma MP495 sparingly.

These cleans can be performed directly from your Canon Pixma MP495 and do not require an attached computer/laptop.
