H.G. WELLS's novel, WAR OF THE WORLDS (about a Martian invasion) was published in 1898.
It was published in comic book form by Classics Illustrated Magazine in October 1954. It was issue No. 124.
Classics Illustrated Magazine's original 169 editions were published from 1941 through 1962. In the 1950's & 1960's, these original magazines were reprinted with different covers than the original 169.This video is of one of the reprinted issues.
