D3 in Bhutan 🇧🇹; Drive to Punakha

Our first stop for the day was the DochuLa Pass (3,100m), which is the collection of 108 memorial Chorten in honor of the late soldiers. Besides having a deep history this place also provides exquisite views of the snow-laden Himalayas followed by the green valleys. Unfortunately, the weather was foggy and there’s not much visibility. After a short rest, we continue our journey towards Punakha.

The second stop was Chimi Lhakhang, also known as The Fertility Temple. After that, it was lunch near the temple before heading to Punakha Dzong - the second-largest and oldest landmark in Bhutan. This majestic building lies between two main rivers Mo Chhu (Female) and Pho Chhu (Male).

Thereafter, we checked into our hotel, Hotel Lobesa, In Punakha and rest and relax for the day.
