I rarely, if ever, post demo versions of new songs I write on the internet. But I finished this song recently just in time for my mom’s birthday.

When I was little, I was a very scared kid (I was even scared of having my hair brushed…hence the short hair cut 🤣). Before bed, mom used to fill a tiny spray bottle with water and told me it was a “monster spray”. Each night, she’d spray it in every nook and cranny of my room to make sure all the monsters were gone.

While there is no more monster spray, my mom has continued to show up for me in every way when I’ve needed her most. So is this is for her. I love you mom 💜
