STORYLINE:
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto met on Wednesday with Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Amman during an official visit.

Subianto arrived and received a royal welcome along with an honor guard ceremony.

The military band played both the Indonesian and Jordanian anthems.

During their bilateral extended meeting, Abdullah and Subianto discussed their vision for a peaceful resolution to the war in Gaza.

Both countries support a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict, although Subianto pointed out that recent developments in the West Bank have been "concerning".

"When we were invited to join the Board of Peace, and we supported the 20-point plan of President (Donald) Trump. It (was) all with the view and the effort to do whatever we can to achieve that lasting solution," he said.

Israel will begin a contentious land regulation process in a large part of the occupied West Bank, which could result in Israel gaining control over wide swaths of the area for future development, according to a government decision.

The decision is the latest step to deepen Israeli control over the West Bank.

Meanwhile, Abdullah praised Indonesia's role as a partner in confronting "challenges" in the region and its commitment to the Palestinian people.
