The Quarteto Simbólico (Symbolic Quartet), which brought together an unusual group of instruments for the time, was presented on the last day (February 17) of the Modern Art Week held at the Theatro Municipal in São Paulo. Later, in 1924, it was among the musical works in a concert entirely devoted to works by Villa-Lobos in Paris.
(O Quarteto Simbólico, que reúne um grupo de instrumentos insólito para a época, foi apresentado no último dia (17 de fevereiro) da Semana de Arte Moderna realizada no Theatro Municipal de São Paulo. Mais tarde, em 1924, fez parte de um concerto inteiramente dedicado a obras de Villa-Lobos em Paris.)

This recording is part of the cd “Villa-Lobos em Paris. Pensées d’enfant”, which presents the musical works performed in Paris in 1924. The cd was organized by Gil Jardim.
