Middle Weight Taste Test - Stihl 044 vs 462 vs 461 vs Nuker 461

Описание к видео Middle Weight Taste Test - Stihl 044 vs 462 vs 461 vs Nuker 461

As mentioned, I did a slight tweak the my 044 to realize more lowend grunt, or torque if you will. Seemed like it was successful after viewing the runs and scrutinizing the times.
The Nuker (arctic) 461 has a similar build to the "Torque Monster" 461 and runs about the same. Different piston than stock & a whole lotta work.
The 044 is giving the Insane-O 461 fits but, the 461 is not broken in and not running "on the pipe" as it is still pretty new. It lays waste to the 462 that is technically at the same level of tune and came "out da box" rated with .6 more HP. I need to mention that the older "Stuff" responds better to a good zippkit than the new kids on the block.
I did cut out a few times trying not to use up to much of the test subject in this session - did not seem to work out to well...
Looking at the timed runs:
Psy-Ko 044 @ 14,160 6.29 dwn 6.13 up 6.37 up
Psy-Ko 462 @13,500 7.15 dwn (cut out) 7.18 dwn 8.19 up (dawg caught) 7.98 up 7.66 dwn partially cut out and we did see a knot
Insane-O 461 @ 13,560 7.08 dwn 6.45 dwn 6.02 up 5.95 up 8.45 freehand ~ 12,600 dwn
Nuker 461 @ 14,280 wot & freespooling at 12,360 6.78 dwn 5.90 dwn 5.55 up then blowing the saw buck over.
It is important to note the audible drag in the 462 engine as it seemed to get pulled down more prm wise. I believe that centers around the more over square engine design is has since the others have a 36 mm stroke and more "square" engine design.
It is also important to note when trying to get the tach numbers onehanded that time run will suffer as I'm not controlling the feed.
I well pleased with the results of all the saws.
I am currently available for custom saw modifications. If you are interested, please shoot me an email.
