About Alicia Cali:

Hi, I am Ali Cali, yes that is real name via marriage! I started Calissori as a way to work and be home with my future family. My future family now includes a 2.5 year old and a 3 month old! My husband is a firefighter and is gone on assignments most of the summer. This makes for a whirlwind of a life.

A little more about my background...I grew up in San Clemente, CA, gained my B.A. in Atypical Development at Cal State Monterey Bay. I came home and worked towards my Montessori Certificate. I taught for 6+ years at Monarch Bay Montessori Academy.

I have witnessed firsthand the learning capacity of small children. Maria Montessori believed that there is a sensitive period for learning language, and it is ages 0-6. During this sensitive period, kids' brains are sponges and should be absorbing as much as they can. My focus has been focused on taking advantage of this sponge-like period.

Creating an environment for the child to inspire a love of learning is key. For now, due to the pandemic, my classes are sadly on hold. The one positive of all this lockdown time is that I published my book that I had on my mind for a couple of years now! I truly believe it will be a very successful, educational, and entertaining book to learn the letter sounds. My long-time friend, Shayna, brought my imagination to life. I am forever grateful to her and her artistic talents. The fabulous Ms. Brooke and her ukulele created a way to make the words come alive🎶. My hope is that a love of learning can be sparked in each of your homes!
