Our pristine glaciers, the lifeblood of our rivers, are melting at an alarming rate. By 2050, a third of these glaciers could disappear, leading to longer droughts and nearly 1856 water sources drying up in Bhutan.

Thefore the National Adaptation Plan focuses on strengthening our ecosystems, protecting watersheds, restoring wetlands, and planting more trees. Together, we can improve flood risk management, create robust river systems, and build climate-resilient hydropower facilities.
