Описание к видео My Best Friend Max | Jennifer Lee | TEDxLangleyED

"My Best Friend Max" is about the speaker's unique experience regarding how she was finally able to have her own pet, an eyelash crested gecko, despite her parents' uninterested attitude toward pets. The speaker shares her genuine excitement and innocent affection toward her gecko. She also reveals her strong emotional attachment to her gecko through her poetic expression in the speech.

Jennifer's TEDx talk provided a 'student lens' through which the TEDxLangleyED audience experience a day focussed on the Future of Learning – Innovation and Inspiration.

Jennifer Lee is a third grade student of RC Garnett Elementary School in Langley. Her speech won the prize at 2015 Langley School District Speech Fest. She also won the Scholastic Poetry Contest in the same year. Even at her young age, Jennifer has proved her talent in writing and public speaking. Inspired by her speech, she has been writing her own novels featuring the same animal character as the main character of her story.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
