-------------------------------------------------DESCRIPTION-------------------------------------------------

Aim to gather at least six survivors before shifting your focus to weapon hunting. This early investment in human resources will give you the manpower needed to handle increasingly difficult nights and the extra protection to fend off zombie attacks. Each night, make sure your barricade is repaired to at least 90%. One hour equates to 5% barricade repair. For every additional survivor you obtain, you gain an additional 5% for each hour spent, which is why keeping their numbers up is so vital. Not only do they provide more guns to fight against the zombies, but also allow for more time spent repairing the barricade.

In the initial nights, don’t waste time scouring for weapons. Instead, use these nights to continue searching for survivors. Early on, you’re guaranteed to find a weapon dropped by a zombie, so it’s more efficient to let the game provide you with one. For a potent firearm, keep an eye out for the .357 Magnum, which can be obtained by defeating a Fat Police Zombie on the 3rd night. This weapon is a solid upgrade and can make a significant difference in your survival chances. On the 6th night, look for a Fat Biker Zombie to acquire a shotgun, although admittedly you will have probably picked it up beforehand, and suffers from a lengthy reload time, making it more suitable as a backup weapon. As you progress to the 17th night, be prepared to face a military Zombie to get the M4A1.

Your chances of survival are closely tied to how many survivors you have. Aim to keep your number of survivors at or above four. If it drops to four, prioritize locating additional survivors over seeking weapons. The extra hands will be invaluable in both defence and resource gathering. Additionally, when dealing with special types of zombies, precision is key. SWAT Zombies require precise targeting; aim for their heads or legs to maximize your damage and bring them down efficiently. Soldier Zombies are only vulnerable in the legs, so focus your shots there to deal with them effectively.

The Beretta rifle is the highest-tier weapon you can obtain in the game. Be sure to plan your strategy around acquiring this weapon, but remember that securing survivors and managing resources is crucial for getting to that point. As a rule of thumb, precision weapons tend do be the most powerful. Once you have a hunting rifle, that should be your mainstay weapon until you unlock the Barretta. With these strategies in mind, you’ll be better equipped to face the challenges that The Last Stand throws your way. Remember, the key to survival is balancing your efforts between rescuing survivors and hunting for the best weapons.
