Hitchhiking From Dojran, Macedonia To Thessaloniki, Greece: An Adventure

Me and my dear friend Stefan were on a camping with friends in Demir Kapija which is a city near to the greek border in Macedonia and there we decided since we were close to the greek border to go on hitchiking journey to Greece.

We had 2 objectives which were to reach in Thessaloniki and then second objective was to go for a swim anywhere on beach by sea. We also had a challenge to not stay in accomodation (hostels, hotels, apartments).

We ve been 7 days on the roads from camping with friends in Macedonia to waiting on the roads to Greece, to sleeping on bus station and in parks to camping on beach by the sea, by the lake. We ve met lot of strangers and by spending time with them we conclude that we are all humans and that no matter what the politics will say about these two countries we are people and love and respect is the best way to communicate between us. When we travel we want to seek and see what is the good in the country where we are travelling and we dont go into the political matters and issues.
