Fun BASKETBALL Games for Kids - 🏓 Tennis Dribbing Drill 🎾

This fun youth basketball drill is called "Wimbledon" and is a fun competitive basketball game for beginners which incorporates hand-ball and dribbling.

This helps with basketball dexterity and ball handling confidence.

You can modify the game as you see fit for the level of athlete you are working with by changing the rules of which hand you compete with.

It is a really good basketball drill for primary school aged kids.

BASKETBALL SKILL ACQUISITION

Offensive Skills: Dexterity, Dribbling, Eyes off the ball, Competitiveness, Hand Eye Co-ordination. Reduced Mental Gaps, Crossovers

Defensive Skills: Lateral Footwork, defensive stance, hip turns

BASKETBALL DRILL PURPOSE
To help develop different types of basketball shots and improve basketball dribbling and even passing skills.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED
1 Tennis ball per pair
1 basketball each
A small lined playing area 12 feet x 8 feet (divided in 2 by clear line)

HOW TO PLAY (Watch video)

VARIATION:
Play to a score to make it competitive. Limit which hand your participants dribble with and hit the tennis ball with. If you have limited numbers you could play ins-and-outs. With players being knocked out with a challenger coming in.
