J Edward Roush Lake (a.k.a. Huntington Reservoir) is the little talked about, smaller brother to Salamonie and Mississinewa Reservoirs. Together, these 3 Army Corps of Engineers reservoirs control flows on the Upper Wabash River to help mitigate downstream flooding. While I have fished Salamonie and Mississinewa numerous times, my experience with Roush Lake is much more limited. I give Crappie fishing this lake it's first go and fish an EPIC stump field. The results speak for themselves. Tons of fish were caught including some real slabs, landing some of the biggest Crappies I have caught in recent memory!
