Welcome to Tin Tins kitchen ! Today we are making an authentic Indian delicacy - a Bengali dish called Paanch Michali or a unique five 5 spice condiment vege stir fry . This home made dish features fresh vegetables of your own choice with five spices ! This is a south Asian or West Bengal delicacy made with love and shared by an excellent Bengali mother I used to know and look after . She taught me everything ! Panchmishali is a Bengali mixed-vegetable preparation in which the vegetables are first stir-fried and then steamed in their own juices till they are tender. There are several versions of panchmishali fry and the choice of spice or phoron (or tempering spices ) will depend on the vegetables used. In this particular recipe, we are using five phoron spice , brinjal , lady fingers , pumpkin , raddish ..with the special red cabbage ( the key vegetable for this dish )
Other ingredients
Paanch phoron or Five Spices
Prawns and prawn heads( prawn heads is a must)
Green chilli
Red Tomatoes
Potatoes
Salt , sugar , bay leaves , ground ginger
