Guyanese Cheese Roll Recipe

Guyanese pastries will forever be a nostalgic snack in our community...with that being said I've prepared an absolutely delicious recipe for you to try and enjoy with family & friends.
Ingredients & measurements list:
Pastry dough:
4 Cups of all purpose flour
1 Cup of ice cold water
1/2 Tsp salt
3/4 Cup butter
1/2 Cup shortening

Cheese Filling:
8 Oz mild sharp cheddar
8 Oz white sharp cheddar
2 Tbsp soften butter
1 Tbsp yellow mustard
1 Large wiri wiri pepper finely chopped
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tsp onion powder

Filling the cheese rolls:
Egg whites for basting the edges and top of the cheese rolls before baking
