Stars begin arriving for the Daisy Awards. Jon carries Audrey up the stairs as fans cheer for her. Austin sneaks backstage unnoticed. Megan and Marco bang on the inside of the freezer door with a frozen leg of lamb until a restaurant employee opens the door and lets them out. The employee is a fan, who tells Megan he voted for her, and lends her Mr. Sizzle’s truck to speed off for the Llanview Grande. Max worries the show will be a disaster, but Bo tries to calm his nerves. Max asks Clint and Viki if they know where Megan is, but they don’t. Sarah, Asa and Renee congratulate Bo on all his accomplishments and assure him he’s going to win. In Megan’s absence, Spring lobbies Max to let her do the opening number by herself and he agrees, but Megan arrives just in time to crash the opening number, “Here’s to the Shows” (which was itself, nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award the following year). After the opening number, the show’s emcee Robin Leach (playing himself) is introduced. Backstage, Marco has to keep Spring and Megan from killing each other. Later, Spring conspires with a stage manager to give Megan a “big surprise.” Audrey wins the Best Newcomer award and, with help from Jon and a stagehand is able to make it up the stairs, to thunderous applause, to accept her award.

The award for best writing is announced and Fraternity Row appears to lose, but Robin comes onstage (interrupting Nigel Tweed–played by Richard Fancy–mid-speech) to say there’s been a mistake and Fraternity Row did, in fact, win. Sarah receives a note that one of her patients is in the lobby and would like to see her. Austin waits for her in the lobby, but just as he’s about to step out and surprise her, Marco is ejected from the ballroom for not having a ticket. Sarah offers him the empty seat at her table and they head back in together. After a performance by the band Information Society (ABBA’s Lay All Your Love on Me), we see melodramatic clips from the three women nominated for Best Actress. Megan’s clip is cut off halfway through and replaced with security camera footage of Megan (as Ruby) pleading her innocence to a group of sex workers in an Atlantic City jail cell, capped off with her mug shot. Megan tries to flee the ballroom, but Viki convinces her not to let Spring get to her. She stays, and moments later, she is announced as the winner and goes onstage to claim her award.
