Who is Kashef al-Sultaneh?

Kashif Al-Sultaneh, who is called the father of Iranian tea, was the founder of the tea industry in our country. He went to India with the position of consul general of our country in 1272 and in addition to fulfilling his assigned duties, he also learned the techniques of tea planting and after two years and using his political influence, he managed to import 3000 tea seedlings to Iran. Being a patriotic person, he believed that our country should not need basic goods such as tea and sugar, and the country's huge money should not be spent on importing these goods. Therefore, by the order of Reza Shah, he assumed the presidency of the country's tea organization, and during his presidency, he was able to achieve many successes in this field and turn Iran's tea industry into one of the strongest industries in the country.
Tomb of Kashif al-Sultaneh
Before his death, Kashif al-Sultaneh bequeathed that he be buried in the fields and hills of tea cultivation. His will was followed and after he died in a bitter and tragic accident, his body was moved to Lahijan and buried in the tea cultivation land he had bought during his lifetime. Later, Iran's tea history museum was also built next to Kashif al-Sultaneh's tomb, and he was called the father of Iran's tea due to his tireless efforts in teaching tea cultivation.
What objects does the Iranian Tea History Museum collection consist of?

On the ground floor of this museum, a valuable treasure of old objects and tools for brewing and drinking tea is displayed. From Russian samovars to barbecues and antique tea utensils, this part of the museum is dedicated to showing how tea entered the country and the establishment of Iran's tea industry, like a historical book. Also, the manuscripts and documents of Kashif al-Sultaneh, which contain very valuable information about the tea industry of our country, are also kept in this part of the museum.
