Welcome to the Isle Of Wight, my first time visiting this magical island just off the south coast of England! I was joined by my walking and camping buddy Ian from Rudge Outdoors on this two day trip exploring the island and wild camping on the East and West coast of it, raising money for the RBLI Great Tommy Sleep Out 2024!

Royal British Legion Industries is a fantastic charity who help war veterans re-enter society and get them the help and support they need. Far too often, veterans return home from conflicts suffering from various mental health issues on account of the awful things they have experienced. This can lead to drink and/or drug addictions, homelessness, unemployment, relationship breakdowns and various other problems. It is reported that 6000+ veterans are homeless EVERY year in the UK through no fault of their own. This NEEDS to change. This HAS to STOP. These brave men and women have served our country and fought for our freedom and way of life. It is now up to us to fight for their welfare and The Great Tommy Sleep Out is just one of many ways we can help them! It involves sleeping outside for at least one night in March and fundraising for this event.

Myself and Ian set up a Just Giving page to raise money for the RBLI whilst doing this challenge. At the time of typing this we have raised an incredible £310!
