Onboard 45212 Cathedrals Express Guildford -Portsmouth Harbour 2nd June 2018

Saturday 2nd June saw 45212 stand in for B1 "Mayflower" due to it's overhaul not being completed which was no disappointment as it was nice to actually run into and out of my hometown of Portsmouth. The train started at London Victoria and finished at Portsmouth Harbour.

This was my first attempt of placing my GoPro onto the running board of a full size loco and I'm quite happy with the outcome. I used an external microphone to enhance the sound.

Here I have placed the camera on board 45212 at Guildford in readiness for the climbs up to Haslemere and Buriton and down into Portsmouth. Unfortunately the battery ran out just as we were pulling into Portsmouth Harbour so that's why it ends slightly early.
