Bodycam DUI Arrest - Woman Arrested for DUI While Driving to Pick Up Her Child

On September 19, 2023, Cuyahoga Falls Police received a call from an employee of a local pizza shop who stated that an employee was drunk and just got in her vehicle and drove off. Officer Grove located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The 34-year-old woman claimed she was driving to pick up her child from day care and initially denied consuming any alcohol. She gave consent to search her purse, which revealed empty alcohol bottles. After performing field sobriety tests (FSTs), the woman was arrested for DUI. A search of her vehicle yielded additional bottles of partially consumed alcohol. Court records indicate her breath alcohol level was a staggering 0.297% BAC. Her case is still pending in court. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
