"Portrait" (Complete LP) - Ralph Carmichael Orchestra and Chorus

“Portrait” (THE COMPLETE ALBUM) showcases The Ralph Carmichael Orchestra and Chorus on this unique album. The first half (Side 1) features the orchestra with “A Medley of Carmichael Favorites,” all written by Ralph. This 15-minute track originally was performed as the opening of Ralph’s “The Great Gospel Concert” held in 1976 at the Hollywood Bowl. The medley was re-recorded for this LP (also 1976) and includes: “Like a Lamb,” “The New 23rd,” “Beyond All Time,” “Reach Out to Jesus,” “He’s Everything to Me,” “All My Life,” “One of These Days,” “Love Is Surrender,” “The Savior Is Waiting” and “We Are More Than Conquerors.” (This medley was also used as the musical underscore for the slide show at Ralph's memorial service.) The second half (Side 2) has five tracks of Ralph’s songs with orchestra and chorus: “The New 23rd,” “While It Is Day,” “I Have a Friend Who Still Cares,” “Love Can Make the Difference” and “The Savior Is Waiting.” (The audio tracks were digitized by Read G.
