Salman Rashid is Pakistan's most widely travelled travel writer with few places in the country that do not carry his footprint. Acclaimed as 'the most erudite travel writer of the country'. Widely traveled, Salman’s articles on places far and wide in Pakistan, from Nagarparker in the south to Broghil in the north, have appeared in nearly all major English language newspapers and journals in the country.

Salman Rashid is the author of 9 travel books, The Apricot Road to Yarkand, Jehleum: City of Vitasta, Sea Monsters and the Sun God: Travels in Pakistan, Salt Range and Potohar Plateau, Prisoners on a Bus: Travel Through Pakistan, Between Two Burns on the Map: Travels in Northern Pakistan, Gujranwala: The Glory That Wars, Riders on the Wind, Deosai: Land of the Giant, A Memoir of Partition, From Landi Kotal to Wagah: Cultural Heritage Along the Grand Trunk Road and Gwadar Song of the Sea Wind. Fellow of Royal Geographical Society UK, he is the only Pakistani to have seen the North Face of K-2 and trekked in the shadow of this great mountain. His work: explorations, history, travels; regularly appears in leading publications and on his blog.
