If you have MS and are wondering if the recumbent bicycle 🚴 is better or worse than the stationary bike, here’s 4 things you need to know:

1️⃣ The stationary bike is the most functional if you have a goal of walking better 🚶‍♀️ because you’re more upright… which is more similar to the position we’re in when we’re walking and climbing stairs.

2️⃣ The recumbent bicycle is less functional because you’re sitting down in a chair and slightly reclined — HOWEVER, this can make it a bit easier and a great stepping stone to using a stationary bike.

3️⃣ Both are great options for leg strengthening & cardio 💪🏻, but that strength often won’t carry over to improved walking… unless you’re also practicing functional walking exercises 😉

4️⃣ At the end of the day, the best one for YOU is going to be whatever is safest & most doable for you!!
