Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger Tyrannoranger ジュウレンジャー ティラノレンジャー

It's been a long time since i've done one of these figures (the last being Chogokin Change Dragon back in December 2007) so I took a stab at making yet another. This is the Chogokin Armed Tyrannoranger!

During the course of the series, the first five members of Zyuranger had Chogokin figures released. The standard figures included two weapons, and an attachment for their backs so they could stand in a pyramid formation (similar to how they do in the opening credits).

As the series progressed, two follow-up figures were released. These were Dragonranger and Armed Tyrannoranger. Both of these figures came with the Dragon Armor, a Zyusouken (Burai's is green and Geki's is black), a Ranger Gun and Ranger Stick. Armed Tyrannoranger also included gold accents and a gold Dyno / Dragon Buckler.

So that brings me here. The Armed Tyrannoranger figure is the one to buy over the standard Tyrannoranger. Even though the back-piece isn't included...that doesn't really matter too much. The fact that Tyrannoranger has the more-correctly colored Zyusouken makes it even better. Speaking of which...this has to be the BEST Zyusouken for an action figure ever! Look at all the detail in the sculpt. This is leaps and bounds better than the ones the Power Rangers figures came with. For those, the Auto-Morphin' one is close, the Super Legends Green Ranger Dragon Dagger is pretty bad, and the Super Legends Extreme Green Ranger isn't much of an improvement...

My only gripes with this figure is that the face could've been better...and it would've been nice to have a Ryugekiken to go along with it.

In any case...that's my review of one of the later Chogokin Sentai figures. After Zyuranger, they all went downhill until their demise and brief revival.
