GBO2 Blue Destiny Unit 2: Still good at 550 cost?!

Описание к видео GBO2 Blue Destiny Unit 2: Still good at 550 cost?!

This video contains two recent matches I had with the LV4 Blue Destiny Unit 2 on Gundam Battle Operation 2. The BD2 is a 400-550 cost raid with a touchpad special ability that drastically raises mobility and melee damage for 60 seconds, a boost fire capable chest missile launcher with high stun power and a saber downswing animation with insane reach. Its main weaknesses would be poor thrust usage before EXAM mode, having a weak primary weapon, long reload on chest missiles, lacking Offence System like what Striker Custom gets and lacking LV2 Power Accelerator like what Efreet Custom gets. This suit is unfortunately forgotten by most players but I think it is actually pretty good. In this video I am taking advantage of the Overtune Melee part alongside the melee boost from EXAM to effectively go over the limit of 100 melee modifier, effectively having 122 once EXAM activates. I hope that you enjoy watching!

Its primary ranged weapon is a beam rifle with 1380 (1896) power, 2 seconds cooldown, 50% (90%) heat, 13 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 415m (515m) range, 4 seconds focus time and 8% (30%) stagger value. This is a weak weapon even for the native cost of 400, it is exceptionally poor at 550 cost. It needs to charge to stun and has long focus time, but it at least can offer a stun before going into melee.
Its primary melee weapon is a pair of beam sabers with 2530 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and standard modifiers apart from 50%x2 side swing modifier. This shares the same amazing moveset as the Efreet Custom but has less base melee power and longer swap time. This is really easy to confirm from stuns and you can even go wild with it in EXAM mode by flanking with your high mobility.
Its first sub weapon is a common head vulcan gun with 30 ammo, 572 DPS and 2% stagger value. This has really poor stats and is obsoleted by your chest machine gun.
Its second sub weapon is a chest machine gun with 64x2 power, 30 ammo, 400 RPM, 12 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 200m range, 426x2 DPS and 4%x2 stagger value. This technically can stagger quickly but it needs to hit 13 shots out of the 15 ammo you have to stun. It is fine to finish off enemies with or as a stun if you have no other options.
Its third sub weapon is a chest missile launcher with 475 power, 6 ammo, 333 RPM, 18 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 200m range and 35% stagger value. This has high damage, high stagger value and can be fired while boosting. The splash radius is small though so you need to aim for direct hits. You can stun twice with one reload if your aim is good.

The LV4 Blue Destiny Unit 2 has 18000 HP, 18 ballistic/beam resist and 24 melee resist. This is nothing special in terms of durability in 550 cost, but the 400 cost version only has 13000 HP which makes it squishy at 400 cost. It has access to both LV2 Maneuver Armor and LV1 Emergency Evasion for defensive skills. It is the only EXAM equipped raid to have a dodge roll before this special ability activates.
It also has 135 walk speed, 210 boost speed, 55 thrust and 60 turning speed. This seems pretty average for a raid outside of the low thrust amount, but the skill LV1 EXAM boosts this by a lot. It has LV2 Forced Injectors but lack of Flight Control is a weakness for 550 cost.
Its most important skill is the LV1 EXAM System. This is activated via the touchpad and grants +25 ranged modifier, +30 melee modifier, +3 to all resists, +10 walk speed, +10 boost speed, -50% thrust consumption, +40 turning speed and LV2 Emergency Evasion for 60 seconds. Once the timer runs out the head and legs of the MS will break, and EXAM cannot be reactivated until the next time the MS spawns. This skill is the key to using BD2 effectively, as it makes you ridiculously fast and puts your melee damage through the roof. Activating it at the right time is difficult since EXAM only lasts for 60 seconds, but you can go on an absolute rampage with good timing.

Overall I think that BD2 isn't a bad suit, but the only real reason to use it at LV4 is if you want to mess around with overtune melee. At 400-450 cost it is overall worse than the similar Efreet Custom; which boasts higher melee damage, a much better primary stun and Power Accelerator LV2 to avoid being dogpiled by the enemy team if it clashes with an enemy. BD2 is still okay for these costs but could be better. I would give it a buff to make it more similar to Efreet Custom with better damage on the beam sabers, LV2 Power Accelerator and 5%x2 stagger value on the chest machine gun to improve stagger ability. BD2 still has the advantage for 400 cost space where Efreet Custom cannot sortie, here it can use the EXAM ability to run circles around everything else. So if you want to use BD2 then try to stick to space matches. Thanks for watching!
