2022 World Championship Flies - Super Simple Pheasant Tail Tutorial

Описание к видео 2022 World Championship Flies - Super Simple Pheasant Tail Tutorial

The name for this pattern says it all. This is about the simplest version of a pheasant tail you can find with a tweak to add some durability to what is typically a fragile material. The pheasant tail is one of the most famous patterns of all time for a reason. Frank Sawyer had the right idea when he started fishing this pattern. It's still just as effective today as it was in his time and is heavily relied on by many anglers in the competition scene as well. This year a simple drab pheasant tail nymph was important for myself and most of my teammates at the world fly fishing championships in Asturias, Spain. It worked well for the spooky brown trout in the low water conditions we faced. I'm sure it will work well for you as well and it's easy enough to tie that you'll be able to crank them out by the dozens.
