Royal Gorge Route Railroad May 2020

Описание к видео Royal Gorge Route Railroad May 2020

Due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, both the ownership and management of the Royal Gorge Route Railroad had to sit down and drum up a new way to operate with the latest "Social Distancing" protocols issued by the state. A plan was put together, and a proposed passenger consist was introduced which allowed the railroad to stay within compliance. This new consist involved heavy reorganization and switching of the current passenger train that the railroad already had at hand. So on May 8th, CCRG train crews converged on the trackage of Canon City to rearrange and prepare the passenger fleet for the upcoming 2020 season.
In this video, watch as CCRG Conductor Sydney Swart, Engineer Steve King, Engineer Mike Kremer, and Engineer/Superintendent Jody Moore work all day long to get the passenger train ready. Most switch moves were conducted using both GP-7 Topeka cab #2238, as well as F7A #403. Also included in this video is some brief switching operations at CCRG's 11th Street mechanical shop, as well as CCRG's latest dome car-"Grand Vista"'s first trek out on the main line since being delivered in May of 2019. The railroad action in Canon City sure is quite the fun show! Rate. Comment. Subscribe. ENJOY!!! Copyright Nick Valdez Railroad Photography 2020.
