Pepper Steak on the Blackstone Griddle | COOKING WITH BIG CAT 305

Super easy Pepper Steak on the Blackstone Griddle. You can do all the prep the night before and turn out this amazing meal in 10 minutes. Save your money from Chinese take out and make your own. It is AWESOME!!!

Ingredients:

1 lb Steak sliced thin (Top Sirloin is what I used but any will work)
1 Green Bell Pepper cut in chunks
1 Red Bell Pepper cut in chunks
1 Onion cut in chunks
1 Tbs minced garlic

Marinade:
2 Tbs Soy Sauce
2 Tbs Rice Wine
Fresh ground pepper (to taste)
1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
3 Tsp Corn Starch (add last to coat)

Sauce:
2 Tbs Soy Sauce
2 Tbs Oyster Sauce
1/2 Cup water
2 Tsp Corn Starch
2 Tsp Sugar
2 Tsp Pepper
Pinch Salt

Mix all the marinade except the corn starch and mix into the steak. After well combined add the corn starch to the outside to keep the moisture in. Let marinade at least a half an hour to 24 hours. Longer is better in my opinion.

To cook: Pre-heat griddle/skillet/wok/frying pan to high heat (450-475), add 2-3 Tbs oil and seer steak for 30-60 seconds on each side breaking up the meat until nice and crispy on the outside but not dry. Remove for later use.

Turn heat down to 350 degrees, add 2-3 Tbs oil and add your veggies (peppers, onions and garlic). Cook for 4-5 minutes turning often until translucent. Then add your steak and half the sauce, mix for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Add more sauce as needed. You can always heat up leftover sauce to thicken and use later.

Serve with white jasmine rice...
