He documents which cities are planning to reduce urban sprawl and cites Portland's remarkable Urban Growth Boudary.

An East Coast native, Kuntsler graduated from State University in New York and worked as a staff writer for Rolling Stone Magazine until 1975, when he left to write books on a full-time basis.
