And now for something a little different...

In an effort to cover some of the costs of my upcoming album, Thumbprints, I have decided to put this gem up for sale.
But, before I do, I'd like to share some of my favorite patches I've made from scratch, or tweaked factory presets to create.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Also, I will soon be releasing a sample pack, built specifically for the Akai MPC platform (but will contain .wavs for any sampler) containing multi-sampled version of the presets heard in this video (and several more). It will also include a few drum sets I built from the ESQ-1, multi-sampled Raw waveforms (all 32) and Sysex presets.

The Ensoniq ESQ-1 is a marvelous synth.
I own and have owned many synths but nothing quite sounds like the ESQ-1. It can be a gritty, grimy beast or a clean, glistening waterfall. The amount of modulation, control and general options offered in this aged beauty is quite astounding. It showed up around the middle of the 1980's and offers many options not usually found in the gear of that age and which we synth enthusiasts take for granted today:
