Wimeth Dissanayake is a junior at Pittsford Mendon High School passionate about debate and technology. An avid participant in Mendon's Model United Nations and Debate club, Wimeth always asks hard-hitting questions and introduces unique historical perspectives. In this TEDx conference, Wimeth will discuss new genetic manipulation technology such as CRISPR, and how it can cure rare genetic disseases and forms of cancer. Such technology has the power society for generations, and we need to discuss its regulation and uses prior to implementation.
