12 rules for converting singular number to plural number:

Rule #1: সাধারণত singular noun এর শেষে -s যোগ করে plural noun করা হয় ।

Rule #2: যে সব singular noun এর শেষে -s, -sh, -ch অথবা -x থাকে, সেখানে -es যোগ করে plural noun করা হয় ।

Rule #3: যদি singular noun এর শেষে -o থাকে, এবং -o এর আগে কোনো vowel থাকে, সেখানে -s যোগ করে plural noun করা হয় ।

Rule #4: যে সব singular noun এর শেষে -o থাকে, এবং -o এর আগে কোনো consonant থাকে, সেখানে -es যোগ করে plural noun করা হয় ।

Rule #5: যদি singular noun এর শেষে -y থাকে, এবং -y এর আগে কোনো vowel থাকে, সেখানে -s যোগ করে plural noun করা হয় ।

Rule #6: যে সব singular noun এর শেষে -y থাকে, এবং -y এর আগে কোনো consonant থাকে, সেখানে -y এর জায়গায় -ies যোগ করে plural noun করা হয় ।

Rule #7: যদি singular noun এর শেষে -f অথবা -fe থাকে, সেখানে –f অথবা -fe এর জায়গায় -ves যোগ করে plural noun করা হয় ।

Rule #8: কিছু singular noun এর vowel পরিবর্তন করে plural noun করা হয় । এখানে –s, -es, -ves ইত্যাদি যোগ হয় না ।

Rule #9: কিছু singular noun এ কেবলমাত্র -en যোগ করে plural noun করা হয় ।

Rule #10: কিছু noun এর কোনো plural form হয় না, শুধুমাত্র singular form হয় ।

Rule #11: আবার কিছু noun এর কোনো singular form হয় না, শুধুমাত্র plural form হয় ।

Rule #12: কিছু compound noun আছে যাদের প্রধান শব্দটির শেষে -s বসিয়ে plural noun করা হয় ।
