The Next Batman Game Might Be TERRIBLE...

There have been rumors circulating that Rocksteady might be developing another Batman: Arkham game after the disappointing reception of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This speculation is supported by statements from Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, who has emphasized that WB Games will prioritize four major IPs: Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones, and DC — specifically Batman. It appears that WB's focus is not on greenlighting games centered on other DC characters like the Teen Titans, the Justice League, Superman, The Flash, or Green Lantern. Although Wonder Woman is set to have her own solo game from Monolith Studios, there have been no updates on it since its initial announcement. The possibility of a new Arkham game has led many to speculate on how it could connect with the VR game Arkham Shadow or expand on Batfamily characters like Batgirl and Robin. Returning to Batman is unsurprising, given that the two latest DC games, Gotham Knights and Kill the Justice League, haven’t resonated with audiences as strongly as the Arkham series.
