Yakamaru (First EVER Full Solo)

Finally, a world first in RuneScape I can call my own - a full solo Yakamaru kill from beginning to end! Previously both the normal pools and mirage phase have been done separately by multiple different people, but now I've finally managed to do a full solo! Crazy.

This was actually my third real attempt at a solo kill. The first attempt died during sand pool on mirage, and the second attempt... well, I don't want to talk about it. But I got this down fairly quickly regardless! No drop though, sad.

What makes solo Yakamaru particularly annoying is that it takes FOUR HOURS to do even one kill. There's very little you can do to make it speedier - the only ways you can really make it speedy is getting the first pool and mirage phase done ASAP, and the former isn't even that big of a factor. For the rest, you literally have to sign for poison and then WAIT for your sign to come back mid-fight to sign again, which extends the solo by THREE HOURS. So imagine the nerves once you get to mirage phase - your past three and a half hours are riding on the line just to nail the hardest part, and messing up means waiting ANOTHER three and a half hours to try again. Nailing it down is the important part and if you fail... well, that feeling sucks.

So since you have to wait out so much time between poisons, I edited out the times where I just sat there doing nothing but disassembling magic shieldbows. Hey, at least I can take a nice distraction when the opportunity presents itself!

Honestly though, pretty much the entire kill was very solid. There were a few close calls on mirage and I did get a bad stun pool spawn on mirage and I still use a ton of food during shark and sand, but honestly with enough practice beforehand dealing with bad RNG, it was no big deal and everything died fairly quickly with as efficiently as possible. And while I did accidentally did use Berserk quite a bit for a time during the first hours of pre-mirage (which made for good memes), that's like the only real blemish, if at all lol.

Shoutouts to Foxis for thinking I was a crazy lunatic going for this, lmao. And shoutout to Double XP Weekend for being so useless I decided to go solo with it active.

RIP the rest of my magic shieldbows and my first ancient elven ritual shard when mirage came :(
