Om Swami says that for prashna lagna one can go to os.me or some such site and generate today’s horoscope. The space provided for filling up the time of birth should be filled with the time the caller calls with a question. Lagna is calculated using the latitude and longitude of a place. He says, if for example a person living in California makes a call to an astrologer in India to ask a question, then the time(in California) when he calls has to be filled in. So whatever lagna( zodiac sign)is there at the time of the call, the horoscope will be made on that lagna and that will become the lagna horoscope for that time. He says, while making this, one should not be concerned with the time or place of birth. Lagna horoscope is generated when one does not know how to see a panchang(almanac), but in case somebody can read a panchang then there is no need to make this, as they can then see what lagna is going on at that time. Each lagna(rashi or zodiac sign) stays for about 2 to 2.5 hours. Once a lagna horoscope is generated it is clear where each planet is sitting and predictions are made based on this.
Om Swami says that there are subtle aspects involved in seeing a horoscope. All these aspects have to be seen and considered before predicting.
