Superman and Batman in the War of the Worlds Mini Movie Fan Film

Let's explore what if Superman George Reeves and Michael Keaton's Batman had their own War of the World's movie in 1953. The Adventures of Superman starred George Reeves, Jack Larson, and Noel Neill and ran from 1952 to 1958. The show for the most part stayed with more ordinary storylines having Superman face off against common thugs and gangsters. There was the occasional story with a sci-fi element such as the movie leading up to the series called Superman and the Mole Men, but Superman never faced up against a threat really worthy of his super powers on the series. So, I thought why not see what it would have looked like if Superman had been a part of the biggest movie of 1953, "The War of the Worlds" that featured a Martian invasion of Earth based on the H.G. Wells novel, "War of the Worlds".

I wanted Batman to be a part of this short fan film, but the early Batman movie serials just didn't have a Batman that looked very cool. Then, I thought of Adam West from the 1966 Batman, but he would have changed the mood more to a comedy which I didn't think fit War of the Worlds very well. The 1989 Batman starring Michael Keaton actually was a bit retro, anyway so I thought it would be a great match.

Perhaps, one day, we can get some sort of officially done retro style film with a classic Superman from the 40's or 50's.
