How to use keyless entry | Mustang Mach-E | Ford Ireland

How to use the Mustang Mach-E's keyless entry options, including Phone as a Key, E-Latch and the unique keypad.

E-Latch:
Whether you're using Phone as a Key or the key fob, an entry button on the door will automatically illuminate as you approach your Mustang Mach-E. Tap the button and a mechanism safely pushes the door ajar. Once open, the integrated doorhandle becomes accessible.

Front load space:
Because its battery is located in the chassis, the Mustang Mach-E has 81 litres of load space under the bonnet, in addition to the 402-litre rear load space^^. The front trunk compartment is lined, illuminated and drainable. Great for storing wet and muddy things, as well as commonly used items such as charging cables.
From inside the vehicle, you can open the front and rear load spaces using the SYNC 4A† touchscreen or manually with the lever in the front-left footwell***. You can also open the front load space from outside the vehicle using Phone as a Key, your key fob or a keypad on the driver-side door pillar.

The keypad:
The keypad is perfect for when you need to access your Mustang Mach-E and you don't have your key fob or smartphone. Integrated into the driver-side door pillar, the keypad appears when you approach and is used simply by tapping the panel.
The password-protected keypad can be used to lock and unlock the vehicle doors, as well as the front and rear load spaces.

To unlock your Mustang Mach-E, enter the eight-digit code supplied with the vehicle (found in the Owner's Manual), then tap the 3•4 button to open the doors. To open the rear load space, tap 5•6. And to lock the vehicle, tap the 7•8 and 9•0 controls together.

You can change the code to one of your choice by entering the original code, tapping 1•2, entering a new code and then tapping 1•2 again to confirm. You can also add up to five other individual codes.

If you don't want the keypad to be active, you can disable it via SYNC 4A. Keypad settings are found in the vehicle drawer, under vehicle settings.
