How to set up the FordPass app | Mustang Mach-E | Ford Ireland

Set up the FordPass app* to access a range of connected features for your Mustang Mach-E. You can monitor battery level, charge status and control vehicle features from your smartphone, wherever you are.

To get started, download the FordPass app from your app store. If you don't already have a FordPass account, you can create one in the app. Then follow the on-screen instructions to create a 4-digit PIN. The PIN is required for secure features like remote unlocking and starting.

When that's done, you can take a tour of the app, or skip straight to adding your vehicle.

To add your Mustang Mach-E to FordPass, you'll need your vehicle's unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The VIN can either be found at the bottom left-hand side of the windscreen, or on the Vehicle Identification Plate, located on the right-hand door frame.

Next, tap 'Add Vehicle' from the FordPass Virtual Garage and enter your VIN. You can enter the VIN manually or use the app's camera feature to capture the VIN automatically. Select 'Activate Vehicle' to complete the process.

For security, the link will need to be confirmed from inside the vehicle. Just tap the notification that appears on the car's touchscreen to confirm.

Once confirmed, your car is added to the Virtual Garage. This gives you access to all of the FordPass features, including charge status, Phone as a Key (remove for UK), remote control features and charge scheduling.

As the primary user, you can allow other users to access the same FordPass features on their own smartphones. To do this, they need to download the FordPass app and follow the steps to add your vehicle to their Virtual Garage. When they tap 'Activate Vehicle' you will be sent a notification in your FordPass app requesting permission. Simply accept to allow access. Primary users can remove secondary users at any time.
