Lebanon: a multi-pronged tragedy with unforeseeable consequences

Dr Nasser Saidi, Founder and President of Nasser Saidi & Associates and Former Chief Economist and Head of External Relations at the DIFC Authority and Executive Director of Hawkamah, The Institute for Corporate Governance and Mudara Institute of Directors is interviewed by Dr Jenny Chu, Co-Director of the Wo+Men’s Leadership Centre and Deputy Director of the Centre for Financial Reporting and Accountability (CFRA), about the tragic events unfolding in Lebanon.

Nasser reflects on his personal connection to Lebanon before moving on to talk about how the Beirut explosion disaster has been exacerbated by the economic crisis and global pandemic.
