GBO2 Full Armor Gundam Type B: A walking turret!

Описание к видео GBO2 Full Armor Gundam Type B: A walking turret!

This video is a recent rated match I had with the LV1 FA Gundam Type B on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 500 cost support with a host of powerful weapons, great stagger ability and high shooting damage. Its major weakness is its cripplingly low mobility which makes positioning and keeping up with the team much harder. I always thought that FA Type B was fun and had a lot of potential, but was held back by how slow it is. You can sort of make it work but it is difficult. I think I was able to make it work in this match since it is a large map suitable for just shooting all day from a distance. I hope that you enjoy watching!

The primary weapon of the FA Type B is a triple beam rifle with 750x3 power, 1.5 seconds cooldown, 25%x3 heat, 15 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap, 450m range and 20% stagger value. When you hold down the trigger it will fire 3 shots in a row then go on cooldown, but you can bypass this and fire as many as you want by tap firing. This way you can easily get out 4 shots for a massive 3000 damage confirms off of your stuns. It also has the stagger value to break MA in combination with your cannon.
Its primary melee weapon is an arm beam saber with 1800 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap and normal modifiers. This has a long reaching stab downswing and fast swap time, but it is hard to confirm melee from your stop to fire weapons and without balancers. It is fully confirmed even against suits with a dodge roll if you land your heavy stagger first.
Its first sub weapon is a back mounted cannon with 1500 power, 8 ammo, 4 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds reload, 2 seconds swap time, 500m range and 80% stagger value. This works the exact same as the cannon on the original FA Gundam, but has slightly more splash. This has modest damage but is an ammo based cannon with fast cooldown, so it is easy to use to confirm your other higher damage weapons.
Its second sub weapon is a shoulder missile launcher with 180 power, 20 ammo, 570 RPM, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 400m range, 1710 DPS and 10% stagger value. This has very high damage in total, with 3600 ballistic damage if all shots connect. It is awkward to use off a regular cannon stun though because of the firing arc, so it is best saved to punish heavy staggered enemies or those who your allies knock down.
Its third sub weapon is a large missile launcher with 2500 power, 2 ammo, 6 seconds cooldown, 35 seconds reload, 2 seconds swap time and 500m range. This weapon has high damage, long range and can heavy stagger the enemy. Though the missile velocity is rather slow, so it can be tricky to use sometimes. To make up for this, it has a very large splash radius. So try to shoot at crowds of enemies or around corners with it.
Its fourth sub weapon is a chest missile launcher with 160 power, 6 ammo, 17 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 400m range and 50% stagger value. This works the same way as on FA Gundam, it has amazing stagger value but low damage and a large spread. It is inconsistent to use for self defence so you are better off breaking MA or stunning with other weapons.

The FA Type B has 17000 HP, 23 ballistic/beam resist and 8 melee resist. It is relatively durable when it comes to shooting battles considering its high HP and resistances, but rather fragile in melee range. This isn't too much of an issue considering how good you are at walling out enemies, but it certainly isn't great when considering your slow mobility.
It has 100 walking speed, 170 boosting speed, 40 thrust and 57 turning speed. The walking speed is way lower than other supports and the boost speed is below average, this is made even worse by a ridiculously low 40 thrust. You can at most build 55 thrust which means you are not nearly as nimble as some of the other 500 cost supports. This is basically the number one drawback of the suit, so you need to be great at positioning.

Overall I think that while the FA Type B has outstanding ranged ability, it is massively held back by its mobility. Theoretically if you are in the ideal positions, your damage output is some of the highest of all the 500 cost supports. But this will never realistically happen considering how slow you are. I think it and the original FA Gundam should be buffed to receive +10 walking speed, +10 boosting speed and +15 thrusters. This would improve their ability to keep up with the team and make it easier to avoid getting caught out by melee suits. The suit is quite strong if you ignore the mobility issues, so I can recommend it if you are fine with really slow supports. Thanks for watching and I hope that you enjoyed it!
