This is the longplay of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, an action and platform game released for several consoles. This is the SNES version, produced by Imagineering and published by THQ in October 1992, a month before the movie of the same name was shown.

This game is inspired by the second movie Home Alone, where Kevin McCallister and his family decide to take a trip to Florida, but Kevin accidentally boards the wrong plane and ends up going to New York. He tries to make do with what he has, like using his father's credit card to stay at the Plaza Hotel, but is soon confronted by Wet Bandits (yes, the same ones from the first movie) who are chasing Kevin.

Using his wits to survive and befriend unlikely citizens, Kevin must run faster and outsmart his former enemies again as his family desperately tries to find him.

The game had an evolution in graphics and controls, being possible to use weapons (pistol, pearl necklaces and bazookas that shoot boxing gloves) and also to use a sliding maneuver with the knees on the ground, in addition to being able to do somersaults and deal damage to enemies with this technique, triggered with the help of a special item. In this game, Kevin is also chased by people from the Hotel, in addition to objects such as suitcases and vacuum cleaners that can also cause damage. It is possible to defeat Wet Bandits in some parts of the game by shooting objects that become traps. The Home Alone 2 game, although better than the first one, remains a mediocre game, one that was certainly rushed to try to capitalize on the success the movie was having. And the developers were in such a hurry that the game ended up being almost completely meaningless.

Alongside the original Home Alone movie, Home Alone 2 is often considered a classic holiday movie, and generally ranks high among the highest rated Christmas movie lists. The movie is excellent, but this game is one more feat to try to capitalize on the movie.
I hope you enjoy the video.
