NURBURGRING ROAD TRIP PREP PART 1! | FOCUS RS | GARAGE UPDATE | VLOG 49

Multiple items on this very important Garage Update - I am taking my Focus RS on a road trip!

I am heading off very soon on the road trip of a lifetime!

Going from Northern Ireland to England and then to France and Belgium before getting to Germany where I will be going to the Nurburgring!

Lots of prep work needs doing before I hit the road and today, I get a great start made on my to do list for my MK3 Ford Focus RS!

First , some maintenance work in the form of a full service. This includes an oil change using the proper Ford spec Castrol Edge motor oil with a Ford Motorcraft oil filter and a Mountune magnetic oil drain plug - the full house of a proper oil change!

I also change my air filter for a new one instead of doing a K&N recharge (for convenience). I went with the Cobb equivalent high flow air filter supplied by MSD and when doing the swap, I find some unexpected design improvements over K&N!

I then change my spark plugs for a full set of pre-gapped NGK Iridium plugs supplied by MSD - the old plugs aren't in bad condition but it is time to change and MSD always gap them perfectly in my experience!

I then do some detailing prep using two excellent Turtle Wax products - Hybrid Solutions Pro To The Max Wax and HS Graphene Acrylic Trim Restorer!

The To The Max Wax is a remarkable product for how easy it is to apply - just like a traditional liquid wax, easy on and easy to buff off once hazed - and also for how epic it is in terms of long lasting protection and super depth of gloss!

The Hybrid Solutions Graphene Acrylic Trim Restorer is a new product for this year and you will see that it is also very easy to apply - simply spread 2 coats and let dry. It is a permanent trim restorer, not just a flimsy dressing and the results speak for themselves!

I finish by getting my lightweight Revo RFO19 wheels on - without the plastic centre caps!

Mountune say about the magnetic oil drain plug:
